The city of Berkeley must be "walking on sunshine" after being accepting an award for installing the most solar systems per 1000 citizens of any city in the Bay Area; the contest sponsored by Nor Cal Solar. Also, a 7-year old girl underwent a 23-hour surgery last month to remove a baseball-sized tumor in her abdomen. The pancreas, spleen, small and large intestines and liver were removed and chiled in this high-risk operation to excise the life-threatening growth. She'll be released from the hospital today!
