Bret Burkhart Wins 2 National Murrows

KGO reporter Bret Burkhart was in New York City to accept two national Murrow Awards he won for his report “The Golden Hour.” RTNDA has honored outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971. Murrow's pursuit of excellence in journalism embodies the spirit of the awards that carry his name. “The Golden Hour,” won two national Murrows for: best hard news feature, and best use of sound. He’d already won regional RTNDA awards for this piece.
