Monterey Bay Aquarium - Cooking for Solutions 2009 Monterey Bay Aquarium - Cooking for Solutions 2009

Join KGO Radio’s Dining Around host Gene Burns at Cooking for Solutions at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, a culinary celebration with soul. All the gourmet food and wine at the event comes from sustainable and organic sources – seafood, fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy products, even the chocolate and premium wines.

Renowned chefs from across the United States will participate. More than 100 restaurants and wineries from the Bay Area, Monterey Bay region and beyond will participate – including renowned places like The Lodge at Pebble Beach, the Sardine Factory, Bernardus Lounge, ACME Chophouse in San Francisco, and Silverado Resort in Napa.

For more details go to www.CookingForSolutions.org or www.montereybayaquarium.org.

Highlights include the Friday night gourmet gala on May 15; and the all day Sustainable Foods Information Fair on Saturday, May 16. The Fair is included with aquarium admission, and features tasting of wild Alaska salmon and other organic and sustainable foods, plus cooking demonstrations by famous chefs, and a special program at the Kelp Forest exhibit, where Food Network’s Alton Brown will dive and talk with visitors.

All proceeds benefit the Aquarium’s Seafood Watch program – working to transform the seafood market in ways that protect the health of ocean ecosystems.
