Palin: Climate Change is "Snake Oil Science"

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is calling studies supporting global climate change a "bunch of snake oil science."

Palin spoke yesterday before a Northern California logging conference in Redding. The media was barred from the event, but The Associated Press bought a $74 ticket to attend.

Palin says California's heavy regulatory environment makes it difficult for businesses to succeed, a view shared by many business leaders in the state.

She criticized what she said were heavy-handed environmental laws.

As Alaska governor, she said she sued the federal government to overturn the listing of polar bears as threatened. Palin says she disagrees with the science the government used to support the listing.
