The tremor occurred at 3:59 a.m. near Cobb, and about 2 miles northeast of The Geysers, a geothermal plant.

Amy Vaughan, a geophysicist with the USGS's earthquake information center in Colorado, says major damage is unlikely with a quake of that magnitude, especially in a rural area.
